Practical and Exam

• 50 percent practical. 50 percent exam.

• Lectures:
  • 5 weeks: Mark. Linux and Shell. 5 quizzes or programs. Total 25 percent. Marking on the day or at the next lecture.
  • 5 weeks: Gary. Computer Systems Configuration. 5 exercises. Total 25 percent. Marking on the day.
  • 1 week: Mark. Re-cap of Linux and Shell. Marking of the last practical.
  • 1 week: Field trip.

• New exam format:
  • Mark's section: Answer 15 out of 15 multiple choice questions. No negative marking. Total 50 percent of paper.
  • Gary's section: Answer 2 out of 2 long questions. Total 50 percent of paper.
  • Sample exam paper for Mark's section
  • Sample exam paper for Gary's section not needed. Those questions are same format as past questions.
  • Time: 2 hours.
